Makayla and Nathan created Magnolia Grove from a genuine love for natural products, crystals, meaningful gifts, and spaces that feel welcoming and a little magical. What began as an idea became a family-operated business built with creativity, care, and a desire to make a difference.

ELLEN

Director of Operations & Community Care

Ellen has a true love for Magnolia Grove and genuinely believes in the mission behind everything we do. She cares deeply about helping animals, supporting others, and making people feel seen, valued, and appreciated. Caring for others comes naturally to her, and it shows in the way she treats everyone she meets.

As our Director of Operations & Community Care, Ellen is the steady hand that keeps Magnolia Grove moving forward. She works tirelessly behind the scenes, keeps everyone organized, steps in wherever she is needed, and makes sure even the smallest details are never overlooked. She has a natural gift for caring for both people and the business, leading with patience, compassion, and dedication.

Ellen is also RJ’s mom and a huge part of the reason he has grown into such a kind, creative, well-rounded, and artistic young man. She has always encouraged him to embrace his individuality, explore his creativity, and believe in the possibilities ahead of him.

Magnolia Grove would not be the success it is without Ellen. Her hard work, loyalty, and enormous heart can be felt throughout every part of our family-operated business. She is more than a leader—she is an essential part of Magnolia Grove’s heart, purpose, and the family behind it.

MAKAYLA

Owner, Creator & Animal Advocate

Makayla’s heart is woven into every part of Magnolia Grove. As the owner and creator, she brings imagination, intention, and a deeply personal touch to everything—from the products made for the shop to the displays and welcoming spaces that bring the Magnolia Grove world to life.

Her creativity can be felt throughout the business. Makayla loves developing meaningful products, curating beautiful details, and creating an atmosphere where people can slow down, feel comfortable, and discover something that genuinely speaks to them. She believes even the smallest things—a calming scent, a thoughtful gift, or a kind conversation—can bring comfort and meaning to someone’s day.

Animal advocacy is also at the center of who Makayla is. She dedicates her time and heart to fostering animals, supporting rescue efforts, coordinating help when it is needed, and working alongside local nonprofit organizations. For her, caring for people and caring for animals have always gone hand in hand.

Makayla helped shape Magnolia Grove into more than a shop. It is a place where handmade goods, creativity, compassion, community, and purpose belong together. Her greatest hope is that everyone who walks through the doors feels welcomed, inspired, and a little more connected.

NATHAN

Facilities, Technology & Operations

Nathan proudly served in the military and now works in law enforcement in Eagle Pass. His dedication to serving others, strong work ethic, and steady presence are a meaningful part of both his life and the foundation of Magnolia Grove.

As the person behind Magnolia Grove’s facilities, technology, and operations, Nathan takes care of the many essential details that keep the business running. From maintaining technology and handling repairs to caring for the building and solving unexpected problems, he is always willing to step in wherever he is needed.

Nathan is a natural problem-solver who approaches every challenge with patience, determination, and care. Much of what he does happens quietly behind the scenes, but his hard work can be felt throughout every part of the shop. He is the person everyone can depend on when something needs to be built, repaired, organized, or simply figured out.

More than anything, Nathan is a caring and devoted partner whose support helps make everything at Magnolia Grove possible. His reliability, strength, and willingness to do whatever is needed keep the business moving forward. Without Nathan, there would be no Magnolia Grove.

JEN

San Antonio Location Manager

Jen manages Magnolia Grove's San Antonio locations and helps keep them organized, stocked, and running smoothly. She also continues to support our efforts to assist local nonprofit organizations here in our community. Her reliability, care, and willingness to help make her a valued part of Magnolia Grove.

BRIE

Production and Shop Floor Lead

Brie is currently attending school for welding and has never allowed expectations or labels to define who she is. She has always marched to the beat of her own drum, choosing her own path and approaching new challenges with determination, confidence, and individuality.

As Magnolia Grove’s Production and Shop Floor Lead, Brie helps create many of the products found throughout our shop while also helping keep the sales floor running smoothly. She loves working with people and is always willing to step in wherever she is needed.

Brie is especially passionate about giving back to the community. She is always ready to help with adoption events and with the local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations Magnolia Grove supports. When an animal comes into our care, Brie is often the first person to offer to foster—and the first to volunteer for the long days and sleepless nights of bottle-feeding orphaned kittens and puppies.

Her compassion is something she puts into action every day. Brie’s caring nature, generous spirit, and willingness to help make her a very special part of the Magnolia Grove family.

RJ

Fragrance & Creative Design

RJ grew up in a loving, caring, accepting, and artistic home that encouraged him to embrace his individuality and explore his creativity. That foundation helped shape him into the kind, confident, creative, and well-rounded young man he is today. Over the years, he developed a real love for creating fragrances and now helps dream up many of the scents you’ll find throughout our shop.

RJ hopes to attend school for fashion design, where he can continue growing his creativity and bringing his ideas to life. He brings so much personality, imagination, and heart to Magnolia Grove. This family business simply wouldn’t be the same without him—or the special light he brings to it every day.
